Terms & Conditions

By booking a move with KDN Removalist, the customer agrees to the following terms and conditions:

 

1. "Company" refers to KDN Removalist.

2. "Customer" refers to any individual or entity that uses the services provided by the Company.

3. "Services" refers to the moving, packing, storage, and related services offered by the Company.

1. Job Updates and Payment:

1.Our movers use an app to provide job updates, including "I'm on my way," "I have arrived," "Running Late," "Job Started," and "Job Finished." The customer will receive these updates via their provided mobile number. 2.The job time recorded on the app is payable in full. If a deposit was paid during booking, the remaining balance (working hours + travel fee + any additional charges stated in the quote) will be deducted via Stripe using the same card.

2. Time Windows:

1. Time windows may be provided to the customer when the finishing time of a previous job is uncertain. Movers will arrive within the specified time window.

3. Insurance and Liability:

1. All furniture is covered under our insurance, except for items listed in the Risk Assessment Form and Liability Form. If someone other than our movers assists with the move, KDN Removalist is not responsible for any damages and insurance will not cover any damage.

4. Estimate Changes:

1.The estimate provided on the booking day may change based on the circumstances on the moving day.

5. Item Disclosure:

1.Please ensure all items are shown to the movers before loading so they can stack the truck accordingly.

6. Parking Responsibility:

1. Arranging parking is the customer's responsibility. Any parking fines incurred due to a lack of legal parking will be the customer’s responsibility.

7. Waste Disposal and Toll Fees:

1. Any waste disposal fee will be charged to the customer. Toll fees are also chargeable if the customer opts to use toll roads, provided the dispatch team is informed.

8. Storage Services:

Storage Terms: If the Customer requires storage services, the terms and conditions of storage will be provided separately. The Customer is responsible for any storage fees incurred.

 

- Access to Stored Goods: Access to stored goods may be arranged with prior notice to the Company. The Company reserves the right to charge a fee for access requests.

9. Additional Help for Heavy Items:

1. Extra help may be required for moving heavy items such as pool tables, large cupboards, or large furniture going upstairs. The customer is liable for additional time charges if promised help is unavailable.

9. Incremental Time Charges:

1. Job time will be charged in 15-minute increments after each full hour

10. Tools and Special Requirements:

1. Our movers carry standard tools and power drills. If special tools are required, please inform the dispatch team during booking.

11. Qualified Services:

1.Our movers are not qualified to perform plumbing, electrical work, or TV dismantling. A qualified professional should be hired for these services.

12. Complaints:

1. All complaints must be submitted within 24 hours of job completion to info@kdnremovalist.com.au.

13. Rescheduling and Cancellation Fees:

1. A $100 fee applies if the customer reschedules after confirming with the driver and the movers have arrived. A $100 cancellation fee applies if the customer reschedules or cancels the move between 4-6 working days before the scheduled date and full amount for 2 hours minimum and travel fee if cancelled a day prior or on the moving day.

14. Payment:

1. Payments can be made by cash, credit card, payID or Stripe. Cheques are not accepted. The customer must ensure payment is available at the time of job completion. Waiting time for payment will be charged to the customer. 2.The company reserves the right to withhold goods in the truck until full payment is made. In the case of a dispute, the company may refuse to unload goods until the payment is resolved. Payment is required before unloading.

15. Respect and Conduct:

1. KDN Removalist expects customers to respect our movers and company policies. Verbal or threatening behavior will not be tolerated. 2.If a driver is forced to leave the job due to abuse from the customer, the customer will still be liable to pay in full.

16. Parking Arrangements:

1. The customer is responsible for arranging parking. If a job is canceled on the moving day due to parking issues, a $100 cancellation fee will apply. If the job is rescheduled due to parking issues, the quote is subject to change. 2.The customer is liable for any parking fees or fines incurred. The driver will not park illegally, and if legal parking is not provided, the driver may leave, and a cancellation fee will be charged.

17. Amendments:

The Company reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. Any changes will be communicated to the Customer in writing and will take effect immediately
